Wayne joined Murphy Lighting Systems in 2017, focusing on expanding Murphy’s extensive theme park resume as Senior Account Executive.
He began his professional lighting career while attending George Mason University’s Technical Theatre Program.
Wayne has worked at several theatrical lighting dealerships since the mid-1990’s, Earning the position of South East Regional Manager for the Integration & Sales Department at one of them.
Projects include the Coke Bottle at World of Coke in Atlanta, GA; The Amway Arena in Orlando, FL; relighting of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom; and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. He also worked on Electric Ocean at SeaWorld San Diego and Orlando.
In addition to theatre, Wayne grew up in the National Parks and, for a brief time (a decade or so), had the best of both worlds when he worked at what was then called; Wolf Trap Farm Park for the Performing Arts (Now called Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts). During his tenure there he worked in many aspects of the Park from the Main Gate, until being able to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a Park Ranger (goofy hat and all).
In 2009 Wayne realized his dream of opening an Irish Pub in Clermont, Florida, his home since 2004.
